Are you sick of morning sickness?

Morning sickness is a common condition affecting women during pregnancy. In spite of the name, morning sickness may occur at any time of the day. Symptoms of the condition usually include changes in smell and taste, nausea and the need to vomit. There are a number of theories behind the contributing factors leading to morning sickness, including release of the pregnancy hormone, the ‘Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin’ or HCG, low blood sugar, and stress and anxiety. Changes in lifestyle, and eating habits have been found to be beneficial in alleviating the condition. Also of benefit is vitamin B6, ginger, natural therapies, and in more severe cases, medication.
